Phloxine B Laser Quality Dye

Phloxine B is an intensely coloured dye, having a rich fluorescent red colour,
which is visible even at parts per million dilutions.
Phloxine B is a derivative of fluorescein (tetrabromo tetrachloro fluorescein). It is an acid dye - its CI name is Acid Red 92. The material is used in dye lasers, in microscopy (as a bacterial stain and fluorochrome) and in textile dyeing. Scuddlebutt Phloxine B is an 85% pure grade suitable for laser or microscopy use.

Phloxine B is suitable for dyeing of wool and silk. It is not recommended for
